About Bob Gosch
 Bob Gosch is the owner of the Discover Golf Performance Center. He is both a personal trainer and a professional golf instructor with a wealth of experience as a fitness specialist. Having won several major bodybuilding titles including the 1989 United States Bodybuilding Championships (Mr. USA), he understands the value of hard work, discipline and commitment. With a degree in Physical Education and certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine and the Titleist Performance Institute, Gosch has owned two fitness facilities; Peak Performance One-on-One Training in Syosset, New York and Gold’s Gym in Williamsville, New York.
In 1993 he incorporated SAFTI, offering personal training services throughout the Buffalo-Niagara region. His primary business location was at the Eastern Hills Buffalo Athletic Club where he employed as many as 20 trainers who serviced more than 1500 members. Gosch continues to offer his services in a small number of homes and corporations and he personally trains and instructs over 100 individuals between his golf and fitness businesses. The majority of his clients have been under his care and instruction for at least ten years.
In addition to his vast knowledge of exercise training and fitness facility management, Gosch is a Class A Member in the PGA of America and is a Titleist Staff Member. He spends his summers teaching golf at the Battistoni Golf Center and at Brookfield Country Club both in Clarence, New York. He has qualified regionally for the ReMax long drive contest and the New York State Open Golf Championship. His personal best score for 18 holes is 66 at the Crag Burn Golf Club in East Aurora, New York.
With a passion for continuous learning, Gosch annually attends a variety of personal development seminars ranging from the University at Buffalo School of Management’s Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (CEL) program to the Titleist Certified Golf Fitness Instructor workshops and certifications. He has diligently worked on improving his own game with countless hours of professional instruction and practice. Having invested in coaching from over twenty PGA golf professionals including Craig Harmon, Gary Battistoni, Jim Hardy and Mac O’Grady, Gosch has a very comprehensive understanding of the golf swing and has, with appreciation to his mentors, developed his own innovative teaching philosophy. |
